The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.
He conducts tests and reviews of cleaning equipment. His focus is on mopping robots and vacuum combinations. These multitaskers are a great option for those looking to get mopping off their to-do list. They feature impressive mapping and obstacles-avoiding capabilities, and they can even wash and refill their own mopping pads for a hands-off clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
This is the model you should select if you're looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It is smaller than other options, making it more maneuverable in tight spaces or under furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It has a 4600mAh battery which can last up to 170 minutes when mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer on turbo). It can even return to the dock to top up its battery part way through a clean.
It's efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted areas extremely quickly, and the hardwood floors in the living room, and hallways in a single sweep. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to remove dirt, pet hair, and droppings easily. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects rugs and the double side brushes help to clean debris from corners.
The mopping performance, while still impressive, is not as good. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high velocity and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scrubbing up dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arms protrude out a bit more than other robots, which is useful to maneuver around tight corners and on baseboards. The front arms can be used to sweep up larger debris, like broken toys and books.
Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've ever used. It doesn't produce as loud of a sound while vacuuming or mopping and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It's simple to set up and works well, but this is something that you'll need to keep an eye on when you purchase this vacuum for the sole purpose of mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums that mop in its class. It is a powerful machine for cleaning with a wide range of features.
The device is equipped with a powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the house and locate furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean effectively and methodically. This will ensure an even and thorough clean and is also rapid.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach a variety of surfaces. They can reach corners, baseboards, and other hard-to-reach spots. The side brush can be stretched out to extend to the floor, close to the walls or other fixtures. Additionally, the mop pads can be washed and dried to avoid build-up and lessen the smell.
Another notable feature is the app-based customization options. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the amount of suction, and choose between a back-andforth or more randomized pattern. You can also choose the number of passes which will determine how quickly it can move around your home. You can also choose to disable the side brush to avoid damaging rugs and carpets.
The device comes with a expensive price, but is packed with a wide array of advanced features. However, it's important to note that it incurs periodic costs, such as mopping equipment and maintenance. For example the brushroll has to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter is recommended to be cleaned after 150 hours, and mop pads should be changed every one to three months.
The robot vacuum mop has an excellent Amazon rating and includes many physical automation features. These include the power button that doubles as a general 'Clean' button and a 'Home' button that will send it back to its base station after completing the cleaning process. It also comes with a multifunctional dock that automatically empty the trash bin, fills up its water tank and washes and drys its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus
The Shark Matrix Plus will be a good option for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home clean without spending too much time on chores. It has powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and long battery life that allows you to keep your home clean with little effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one vacuum and mop. It is capable of vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot is divided into two components, a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped out and in and a mopping unit that includes an elastomer pad. It's a bit old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping, but it does mean you don't have to fret about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.
Our test subjects found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming as well as mopping. Its greatest feature was its precise map of your floorplan which it uses to determine the path to follow when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app also offers the option of setting "No-Go zones" and virtual barriers that help to protect specific areas of your home from being scrubbed with a mop.
The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of picking up hair of pets. It was able to capture the majority of hair that shed by our cats and even got into the nooks and crannys of our stairs, where other robots struggled. It was relatively silent and also had a few pleasant jingles that signalled when it was starting or finished its work.
The app was too simple and you had to switch the modules each time you changed between vacuuming and mopping. The app doesn't have the capacity to store multiple maps, which can be a pain if you have a home with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a excellent choice for those who are looking for a smart device that can mop and vacuum.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our test, but it comes with some distinctive features that make it worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni's main draw is its enormous dock that doubles as a charging base as well as housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a cleaning sink, and an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically emptys.
robot vacuum reviews has a variety of control buttons that let you manually start a cleaning job and then recall the robot or run the dock's auto-emptying process. Press two of the buttons to switch on a child lock which is a great option for parents concerned about children playing with the vacuum.
Similar to other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni utilizes its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at recognising objects.
The X1 can be prone to become stuck when it is entangled in a hazard like a power cable tangled over a rug. It won't work until you manually untangle it. This was a rare incident however, it was a bit frustrating since the X1 does not have an "stuck status" alert in its application.
The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during cleaning. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad but the mopping pad isn't cleaned or dried between uses. This can cause mildew and mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a big departure from the utilitarian, black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing appearance in a market which is dominated by clunky boxes and clunky models.
